It’s just like Ted to go overboard on things.

Distinguishing urgency from importance has always been hard for some folks.

Is it possible to fire Ted?

As someone with no maritime knowledge, does that flag in their raft actually have a meaning? Unfamiliar with it. Or is it a joke I’m not getting?

Ted is the most positive thinking in the raft. How else are they going to cook the shark?

As a young boy scout, Ted was taught that, in an emergency, a signal fire was the way to go. He just didn’t remember where that applied.

Reminds me of this movie “All Is Lost” with Robert Redford where he sets fire to his inflatable life raft.

Timing is everything!

Ted must be originally from Minnesota or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where ice fishing is practiced in winter. The fishermen pull sheds out on the ice, which have no floors so they can drill a hole in the ice to drop their lines. They’re equipped with wood burning stoves, which sits on bare ice to keep the inside toasty warm. There are no worries about the ice melting, because heat from the fire rises.
