The problem with campaign promises is that quite often the candidate is telling you what he actually wants to do— not always, some are telling you what they think you want to hear— but there are quite a few who are sincerely wanting the job because they want to remake America into a perfect society. Then they get elected, and have to face reality, and the promises are distorted in order to achieve at least some of the goals. So, if we elect the person who is trying to make a perfect society, we slowly inch toward that goal, but as long as we are organizing an extremely imperfect species, it’s never gonna actually happen.
Only dictators could hope to achieve all the things politicians promise. The presidential candidates should be measured by their plans to pursue their hopes for the nation. The current nitwit in the White House wants to run the country as its first privileged dictator. All hail the new self-proclaimed “King of America”.
It’s like the lady in church who, when posed with the challenge by the minister to find something good to say about everybody, said she could come up with something good about the Devil. In surprise the minister asked her what. “He’s always busy” she replied.
I’ve said it from the beginning: the cowardly Republicans who defend the indefensible (Li’l Donnie) will turn on him in a heartbeat if the Dow sinks a couple thousand points over a couple weeks—which, with the hot trade war heating up even more, isn’t all that unlikely anymore.
Democrats are trying out various things to see how they fly. Positive things like “good health care” and “access to education” and “help the environment”. The Malignancy is saying things that he knows are positive for his base(est) people. Things like “be racist” and “dig more coal” and “lower taxes (on the rich)”.

Trump’s statements aren’t close enough to reality to be called “lies.”
