It’s a lot more comfortable to hold a book (especially a paperback!) than to hold an iPad. I had bought a Nook reader; never used it. Now, with the ability to search for books on the library website, I can put myself on the wait list for any book….and books are always coming in awaiting pick up.

I use my Nook to read while on the treadmill and elliptical at the gym. Can’t abide the junk that is on the TV so just turn them off.

Not to push for the electronic kings but since I mainly read classics I’ve found my kindle tends to save me money since most of my books are under $2 if not free. The big plus for me is I tend to read many books at a time and this way I don’t carry a box (or three like I did when younger on trips) of books with me.

I download my Kindle books from the library all the time. Yes, it’s ‘Free and Easy’.

And when you figure out the difference between needs and wants, you generally have everything you need.

I try to keep my life uncomplicated as well. Then I can think about what I want to figure out (like beating a boss in a video game, for example).

I totally relate to Mom on this one. I tried an electronic reader many years ago, wasn’t comfortable to hold, couldn’t get the angle right, didn’t like the lighting, yadda, yadda, yadda. Plus I just like good ol’ fashioned books and walking around the aisles of a library. Always have, always will, I guess.
