Ramirez has been both critical and approving of Trump. He has not been blindly supportive.
He has been philosophically consistent concerning Trump from the beginning, but you have to be intelligent enough to realize it and honest enough to admit it.
But…But… Hillary’s emails were a violation of the Hatch act on Governmental record-keeping…..We had to elect the Tax Evading Molester LIAR he is a Moral Upstanding Citizen when he isn’t Schtupping Porn Stars……
That’s not True Ramirez thinks he is morally upright WHILE HE IS SCHTUPPING PORN STARS.
$22 TrillionU.S. National Debt Hits Record $22 Trillion : NPR. U.S. National Debt Hits Record $22 Trillion Federal deficits are now expected to average $1.2 trillion, or 4.4 percent of gross domestic product — far higher than the average over the past 50 years.
Trump has done his best against a near-lethal internal coup. He accomplished less than promised in the teeth of powerful establishment opposition. But his personal fortitude, humor and courage stood fast against the tide of political correctness (i.e. hypocrisy). For that he is a success and will be re-elected. The malicious, vulgar, clownish Democrats put 2020 out of reach for them.
Yep and Tax cut wise I like middle class didn’t get one as promised. The GOP has ruined their party backing this guy. Thing is your going to want me back in after he leaves to rebuild the Party. Nope ! you messed your bed you clean it.
This feels like a hedge-your-bets cartoon that Mike will get to point to when the Trump hits the fan, and say “See? I was critical of him once or twice!”. Probably a smart move, actually, since the full-fash cartoonists like Kelley, Varvel, Ben Garrison, and AF Branco will catch the most heat.
Why would anyone want to eliminate the national debt?
The debt serves some useful purposes. First; Americans can invest their life savings in certificates of deposit to protect their money and earn a little income. Second; mutual-fund companies can use the debt to offer money-market funds for people to protect their nest eggs while letting them grow. Third; retirement funds or corporate pension plans can earn income to fund the pensions they pay.
Eliminating the debt is foolish. The only part that should be eliminated is that held by foreign entities that drains billions of dollars in interest annually from our economy to go to foreign economies. That debt held by the American aristocracy is also subject for elimination because it drains money from working stiffs to keep the aristocracy living in luxury. The very type of society our Founders revolted against.
Manage the debt responsibly by not electing Republicans; don’t eliminate it.
It might be that Ramirez doesn’t think everything the president is wonderful. That would be different from you lefties who thought obama could do no wrong and said NOTHING when he cast another 10 trillion on us with the national debt. We want spending cut, but that hasn’t happened in forever. Both parties and the presidents are responsible for this mess.
REP. VAL DEMINGS (D-FL): Director Mueller, isn’t it fair to say that the President’s written answers were not only inadequate and incomplete because he didn’t answer many of your questions, but where he did, his answers showed that he wasn’t always being truthful?
MUELLER: I would say generally.

Oakstone, the REPUBLICANS in the House and Senate passed the 2017 tax cuts which have greatly increased the debt and deficit.
The balanced budget proposal would do more harm than good.
