I’ve got a great idea! Why don’t we hold an “impeachment inquiry”?
The courts have already determined that an impeachment inquiry “trumps” (sorry) any claims of executive privilege or executive immunity or whatever nonsense Donnie John and his ‘fakirs’ have tried to exert.
More to the point, an impeachment inquiry does NOT have to necessarily end with an impeachment hearing – it just allows the House to “override” the ridiculous roadblocks the White House keeps throwing in their path.
We have a president; not a king, though Trump and Barr seem unaware of that fact – we need to institute oversight into the executive branch before we are required to stop referring to Trump as “Mr. President”, and are,instead, required to address him as “Your Majesty”!
How about following along as Pelosi has suggested: Keep digging for irrefutable facts that, short of convincing the Senate to actually do their jobs, will be useful during the election.
