I would rather play the winner, you can learn more from someone that is better (or knows more) than you than someone that is not as good (or knows less than) as you, regardless of the subject matter.
I have found that playing with really good gamers is a dive into insanity. They just don’t think like regular people. I believe “mutants” is the proper term. ; )
