Yeah, there’s nothing worse than Nazi Jews. Of course, they are exceeding hard to find.

A few years ago Israel busted a neo nazi gang that was going after orthodox Jews. I think they were all immigrants from Russia.

Just for fun, I liked this video clip from 30 Rock, which leaves out some of the plot of the show, but is funny.

I think “Lugen Macht Frei” translates to:

    Lying makes you free.

Ronald Reagan closed all of the places where Glenn Beck should be.

    Fitting…

Among other things, Beck has quoted admiringly from the work of an old Mormon writer who was openly Anti-Semitic, he’s accused George Soros of undermining America and working with the Nazis, which is an appalling slander on several counts – considering Soros escaped Nazi persecution and did in fact work to undermine the Communist states of Europe; and even riffed on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion (which for those of you who don’t know is a hoax).

Churchy seems to be sure of a lot of things he pull s out of his head of late.

But he’s right about anything involving George Soros being eeeeeeeeeevil.

Coz Glenn Beck says it is.

BTW, Beck’s ratings are going through the floor.

    Well, that’s what YOU say.

In what context? Were the words edited?

( Never mind….Out of context, and yes they were. )

    http://tinyurl.com/4zxlhtn

And why is it that Beck is wholly creditable when he does what you said did, but when Media Matters actaully does the same thing, they’re a ‘lying hit group’? ( to quote another conservative I know. )

Beck rails about the Soros in the left’s eye, while he ignores the Kochs in the rights…and the Forbes, and the Coors, and the Mellons, and the Scaifes, and the Bradleys, et cetera, ad infininitum ad nauseam.

Actually, Beck was right about the Nazis borrowing ideas from early American progressives. They also took their symbol from Buddhists. They took lots of stuff.

Someone (probably a kid) took a can of black hair dye left over from Halloween, and painted a crude swastika on the driveway a couple of houses North.

I saw these adults looking down, and went over to see what was up. They were saying how terrible it was… etc.

I said that it wasn’t done by an organized group, because the swastika was painted backwards, ithe the points of the broken cross pointed left.

And they all looked at me and wondered how I knew that?

    Duh, well, I observe.

The swastika is also a very ancient symbol in the American southwest and other cultures- taken (adopted) by Hitler and crew. Beck, LImbaugh, and others of that “fringe” have absconded with many outright lies and made them their own- thus the statement on the side of the car. (yeah, I knew what it meant also) Beck is becoming a stain on the first amendment, but is protected by it (and his lawyers, just like Limbaugh), but the laws against outright slander are being stretched very tight.

“BTW, Beck’s ratings are going through the floor.”

Laughed out loud at the last word of this line – I read it (with despair) thinking Beck’s rates were going back up!

But to get his ratings back up, you know, he’s just going to get more and more outrageous. People are going to start looking to see when he completely pops his cork

What we all need to remember is that sometimes even a stopped clock is right. Goebbels is famous for saying (paraphrase) “if you tell a lie often enough people will start to believe it”. Sadly, he was right as the last two years have demonstrated again and again.

Turning innocent symbols into beacons of hate is what ultra radical, far right-wing groups DO

The Ku Klux Klan grabbed a lot their symbols from the Scottish traditions

F’rinstance, in ancient Scotland, burning a cross on a hill was the way by which a chiefain would summon his clan members to conclave. And the various ranks of Klan officers, Grand Dragon, Imperial Wizard, etc. were ‘borrowed’ from the Knights of the Scottish Rite.

    Soros = wealthy + philanthropist

The Becks of this world don’t like that.

Wealthy + greedy is much better.

^Another “statistic” from Beck’s “Ignorance is Bliss” songbook? Oh, he wrote it on his blackboard, so it must be true.
