There is no place in the United States where the treatment being given to CHILDREN of parents legally seeking asylum would not be considered crimes against humanity in violation of U.S. law and international treaties to which the U.S. is signatory. Perhaps Nuremburg tribunals will eventually need to be convened.
Taking children away from refugees LAWFULLY seeking asylum is KIDNAPPING.
Locking them in overcrowded cages, denying adequate food, medical care, sleeping and movement space and hygiene is CHILD ABUSE.
In any state or local jurisdiction, this cruelty would be prosecuted as kidnapping and child abuse.
The private contractors handling child concentration camps are getting $750 PER CHILD, PER DAY. This is more than most high-end, expensive hotel rooms. They can afford to provide adequate facilities (or else are incompetent beyond belief; or both).
This is intentional child cruelty for the purpose of deterring LEGAL asylum requests for those seeking refuge from conditions of violence, rampant social chaos and instability that largely are the result of U.S. policies during the Reagan years.
Granted it was some time ago, but the folks I knew and worked with in Border Patrol were among the very best, and this current “leadership” aren’t fit to lick their boots. Which, my friends would be shoving up their butts, so I guess it would be hard.
And this monster wants to be re-elected…I remember when Nixon went for two, some of us said, “Yeah, re-elect Nixon in ‘72. Why change ‘Dick(s)’ in the middle of a screw.” It’s a rude thought, I know, but they are screwing us blue, don’t get me started on the criminals with power who think they can do anything to anyone, even innocent children! Gah.
My regular lawn guy can’t hire enough people to do all of his lawns this year. He is dropping some, and I had to come up with more money to stay on the list. He never hired illegals but there are a lot more permanent jobs available now, since the competition for those jobs is being held in concentration camps. The kind of people he usually hired have taken those jobs over the winter, so he can’t hire the people to do the lawns, which is hurting his business enough that he either raises rates or goes out of business. This is just one example of Trump’s destruction of a system that was working for all of us. We had cheap lawn labor, cheap veggies and fruit, etc, because illegals were risking their lives to come do that work because it was an improvement on where they came from. How is this good for anyone other than the companies being paid Hilton prices to keep each of these guys in cages?
Mr Morin, your cartoon today is the absolute pinnacle of what political cartoons should be! A statement so disgusting turned on its head in such an obvious way, but no one else thought of it. Thank you, this work truly deserves accolades!
My American neighbours, please don’t call yourself Canadians when you go overseas. The people over there have caught on and real Canadians are catching the fallout.

BTW, it was the creation of Homeland Security, and 33 new agencies that screwed the pooch.

The sort of behavior exhibited on the border is what got David and Louise Turpin locked up for life. Hint, hint.

That we do nothing to stop the cruelty and hatred shows the world that we no longer care and are not to be admired and respected as a world leader.

^ You may call yourselves Canadian only if you act like Canadians.
