Tell the mess sergeant that Rodney’s company will be a little understrength.

Only if we want to be, Clark. I, for one, choose not to live on vegetables alone. I like pork too much to give it up. Others would prefer to live on chocolate. But that’s their choice.

Man is made to live on protein… and some vegetables (carbs). Complete protein makes strong bodies.

Sorry Clark, but our service people would be spending all their time in the “loo” on a vegitarian diet! They would also gas each other out of their tents.

Awful story on the foreclosures. Hope he wins huge punitive damages.

The only question that I have is whether or not the mess hall delivers.

What’s wrong with fish? It is very healthy for you (if not contaminated with mercury - our bad). I like vegetables, but we were made to eat meat as well. All things in moderation… Except PB & J, SOB

One suspects this is how Fox CO. always gets its news. Trivia wrapped in a commercial.

@Clark Kent, your diet is good for a sedentary lifestyle, but when you’re burning a lot of calories, as military training presumably still does, you need more. Also, knowing how to kill and eat meat should be part of survival training (even if you don’t do so normally).

Vegan diet doesn’t provide any vitamin B12 at all, but you can get it from yeast (making a small exception to vegan rules) or poop (which is how many primitive vegan societies survived). Animal products like eggs or cheese provide B12 also.

@Nabuquduriuzhur, mercury is a threshold hazard. Your body can process and eliminate it at a certain rate. When you intake exceeds that, it begins to accumulate and cause problems. Up to that point, it isn’t a problem. Lead is the same way, except the threshold is much smaller - especially in children (because it is so similar to calcium). The larger the fish, the higher on the food chain, and the higher the concentration of mercury.
