For those who don’t remember the book: The Peter principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their “level of incompetence”. In other words, an employee is promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another. The concept was elucidated in the 1969 book The Peter Principle by Peter and Raymond Hull.1
According to Michael Wolff in Fire and Fury, the Trump family has already discussed the matter and concluded that Ivanka is the most electable person to run after Trump leaves office (if he does). Stand by for either President for Life or a Dynasty of feral hogs. Vote while you still can.
Should we not all wave, or fly our flags upside down this Fourth, signal of [political] distress? Imagine hundreds of people gathered in DC, US flags signalling distress. [I’d ask that thousands do so in DC, but I’d rather thousands Stay Away, instead…]
I saw a theory recently that #45 put Ivanka front-and-center at the G20 not only because he trusts no one but family, Mafia-style, but because he plans to propose her as his successor. The full theory was that his only way out of office is to have a successor who pardons him, and that Pence’s sudden invisibility at #45’s recent rallies is an indicator that he actually plans to appoint his daughter as VP (knowing him and his ignorance, he assumes he can pick anyone he wants to succeed him without debate), so he can step down safely and get immunity from his crimes. He would, of course (he thinks), continue to run everything from behind the scenes. After all, that’s what HIS father did to him – he wasn’t the real estate mogul, his father was, and his father had to lay low after Congress called him out on his racist housing practices, and used his son as a figurehead.
Okay, I may be paranoid but: 1.) Trump has seemed to be dragging Ivanka with him on every junket that he can where they can then parlay a photo-op (ie; Ivanka in North Korea; Ivanka with the Royals; Ivanka with Macron and Merkel) which could be used for campaign-style ads; 2.) Pence has become the invisible / mute man of late demonstrating that his only real talent is to stand stoically behind Trump’s desk during the latest rant-of-the-day without moving a muscle on his face; 3.) and now the wacko non-explanation for Pence’s cancelled routine trip to NH for a opioid-problem photo-op ~ the explanation for the last minute cancellation promised (first by a staffer and then by Trump himself) in a “couple of weeks”; 4.) then I noticed a couple of campaign signs around town lately that say “TRUMP 2020”…. Shouldn’t those say “TRUMP-PENCE 2020”?? ~ I’m thinking that he’s got it in his head to dump Mike for a Daddy / Daughter ticket in the fall. ~ Anyone else getting this vibe???

If President Trump were to find a cure for cancer, the Democrats would complain about all the researchers out of a job.

Trump has done nothing remotely like finding a cure for cancer and he never will. Straw man isn’t here for that straw man argument.

The saddest thing is that that could be Ivanka, Melania…maybe even Stormy. Lots of available applicants.
