True. Last week’s debates had most candidates overdoing each other to see who could get furthest to the left. To make this simple – pick Sanders, Warren, Harris or the other far-lefties and you are guaranteed to lose the election. So, you can choose to nominate a moderate Democratic or remain ideologically pure and give another term to Trump. Your choice.
At least his silliness has a shade of physical reality. There was one intersection in or near Pasadena decades ago where it was impossible to turn left: There was a light, but no left turn signal (and no left turn lane). Everybody knew that to turn left there you went past the intersection, then turned right three times, thus using the traffic light in a way that it was designed for.
The trick of course, it to stop turning once you get aimed where you want to go. And Kelley’s trick, of course, is to assert that Democrats are too foolish to recognize that. Which makes him exactly as much of a liar as he already was.
If we all woke up tomorrow morning and had no political parties or memory of their existence, it would be about ten AM when someone came up with a plan for making the world better ( according to their definition of better). By noon, they would have decided that they could do nothing on their own, but maybe they could get some other like minded people to help out and convince other people to want to make the world better too. By the next day, they would be organizing meetings to recruit assistance. By the election cycle, they would have picked out a name so they could identify the group they have formed, come up with positions on other matters that were important to other members of the group, and taken steps to keep the group together after the current world improvement is achieved. If it would make you feel better, we could call them committees, or kumquats, or whatever makes you happy, but political parties are human nature.

Ironic that so many conservatives are followers of the Cult of Continually Turning Left.

And just out of frame are the elephants who kept turning right until they ran into a brick wall.

Just so you don’t drive on that totally socialist interstate highway system. That only goes to Venezuela.

You should make a sharp left turn but you are just going in a circle.
America is gonna punish the Dems if they let Trump get away with everything.
