I’m glad that lawn mowers don’t come with headlights as I know I have neighbors who would be out using it at midnight to do their lawns. Pseudo vampires perhaps? :)
Dracula actually met Mina Harker for the first time in daylight. Most vampire stories had vampires lose their powers in daylight but they were able to bear it. Nosferatu changed that to avoid paying royalties to Bram Stoker’s estate. So what ended up becoming a common myth about vampires was really just an attempt to be cheap. (BTW, it did not work. They were sued and paid all profits to Bram Stoker’s estate)
