From the times I visited my grandparents, I don’t recall watching any TV that was unknown to both me and them.

Why do kids, who usually have good eyesight, sit so close to the tv, and adults, whose eyesight gets worse and worse as the years go by, sit across the room? I mostly wonder the second thing. If you can’t see that well, why not sit closer?

I was watching my grandparents’ tv when Jack Ruby shot Lee Oswald live. Probably not a good thing for a child to watch.

When TV was invented, only few people had them. One person on my street had one and every week, we would be invited to watch the Sunoco Hour, Milton Berle…..the screen was about 5”. We’ve come so far from the good ole days…Kids played outside from morning till the street lights came on! Memories are made of this!

If you don’t know what the program is, then you probably shouldn’t be seeing it…

I was so sheltered! Recently i bought Lady and the Tramp. I wasn’t allowed to watch it when it came out in the theatres because my grandparents and mom knew I would cry. I cried the other day watching it, so I can see why they protected me.

My grandma watched Pro wrestling. She’d get all excited and start yelling “Get ’em! Get ’em!”

    LOL
