They didn’t even take Wiarton Willy out of his glass enclosure – guess they were worried his eyes would freeze shut. And now all the reporters who went for the Festival are stuck there, snowed in for a couple of days! The movie comes to mind…
Each year, I see those silly people dragging Phil out of his nice, warm burrow. I have dreamed that one day the media types would get a real photo op when Phil rips the lips off that one guy in the top hat.
I like this one - a non-injurious alternative to my more sanguine fantasy.

With the weather we’ve had, there’s not a snowball’s chance in H>>> that he’s going to see his shadow this year.

Not this day again…

Boy, would I love to see that!
Never understood how the groundhog could NOT see his shadow with all those stinkin’ media lights on him!
Can’t trust the forecast of any fool groundhog out in this weather (21 degrees F, 4 inches of sleet on the ground, and freezing rain falling).

It DOES feel like that old Bill Murray movie, doesn’t it? Same thing - snow - over and over and over.

There are a lot of groundhog comics out here today, but this one is my favourite. Thanks!

No shadow today – groundhog’s hole is covered with eighteen inches of snow!

Punxsutawney Phil doesn’t live in a burrow. He lives in the town library with a companion named Phyllis.

Punked in Punxsutawney!
Tigger: I hate to tell you, but Santa Claus isn’t real. Don’t try explaining that to a department store Santa.
