An aside: I stopped saying “have a good one” after I said it to a guy and he joked back, “thanks! you have two good ones.” That was awkward.
I went to a new restaurant last night. Near the end of the meal, I really got a scare when the waiter came around and asked me, “Any final requests, sir?”
first panel reminds me of when I performed at a Ren Faire. The food they served was NOTHING like what people would eat during the renaissance. Deep fried pickles and Mac and Cheese on a stick anyone?
Or was he embarrassed at not having money to buy dinner there? If so, he just took himself out of the picture, leaving Blanche and Rod (who shows up nowhere else) on their own. Otherwise, not the foggiest about any explanation that fits.
