For those who can read Dutch. In Den Haag (The Hague) a new Language Jester Card has been handed out to our civil servants, basically (jokingly) saying: why write in easy terms when you can make it really complicated?
Reminds me of our outgoing phone message from years ago: “You have reached the C…. family instrument of communication.” It went on from there in much the same vein.
