Looks there are two “meditators” in the congregation there. (I tend to “meditate” — without snoring — too, but I’m usually in the rostrum not because there may be no available sitting in the pews, but rather to watch the 11/12/13-year-old deacons pass the sacrament. My fellow members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will know what I mean. And yes, I know I shouldn’t “meditate” on the rostrum where the rest of the ward can see me do so.)
3rd row, Bear, Bunny, have a doggy son….lol. Guess they both carried a recessive gene. In 2nd row, Chicken, Dog had a doggy son, guess dad had the dominant gene
Anyone who gets up because the alarm rang, puts on nice clothes and then goes and sits and listens to someone talk for an hour or two has a way different definition of “Day of Rest” than I do.
It’s not that it’s boring, but that the atmosphere is calming, quiet, no tv blaring, phones beeping, ……what plugger wouldn’t equate that to nap time…….I, um, about to, zzzzzzzzzzz
Guess that makes me and the wife kinda “off-the-wall”-Pluggers. We both consider ourselves Christians, but we don’t attend any-formal place of worship. Y’ might say we just-ask for an-informal “one-on-one” with Him: Don’t need no go-betweens, for the discussion. (And, He ain’t failed me-or-she, yet…!)

A Plugger does not sleep during the sermon, one meditates its meaning.

A Plugger calls it, resting my eyes.

If it’s that boring, why do you go there?

If the Preacher keeps it short and to the point sleep will not have time to happen. Think of the Gettysburg Address only 271 words ;-)

Then i’m not a plugger. Sunday is my busiest day……everyone thinks you have nothing else to do because it’s Sunday

oh, you just revealed you’re not a plugger; if you were you’d know that if you sit you drowse…

I love this one because it has all of the Plugger characters in one frame. Good one.

Ten minutes for god’s glory, ten for the pastor’s ego, and the rest for the devil.

it is the weekend and the temptation to stay up late on Saturday night catches up mid-morning Sunday. Especially if the Plugger still goes to work.

I love how all 3 of the husbands are drowsing.

It’s a tough life being a plugger.. so many expectations of others.

If it’s a day of rest, why is he wasting it in church?

If you get caught sleeping, just say “Amen” & open your eyes.
