One year I had waited two weeks to ask about my Independence Day holiday pay. My immediate superior said no one got their holiday pay as the company management had decided since the 4th was on a weekend we had the day off and they did not have to pay us for it.

I run the Dairy department at work, the order and delivery schedule leaves me with Monday and Thursday as my days off
Weekends are work, and lots of it
Still better as far as I’m concerned than working in an office, even with weekends off

That’s something I sure don’t miss being retired. I still have one meeting when I first get up to decide what I’m not going to do today.
