I feel that, while it’s interesting to speculate on whether or not there’s life elsewhere in the universe, it’s ultimately useless. The universe (indeed, just our own galaxy) is so vast that, even if we KNEW there was “intelligent” life somewhere out there, just FINDING them would take forever, let alone REACHING them.
There’s a theory (hypothesis to be precise) that there Is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, is aware of our existence, and simply refuses to make contact with us.
