Wait! Where’d this guy come from? And you’ve had a friend with a spaceship, albeit- tiny, and you still lived in the desert?

Well this could go off the parallel rails quickly…let’s see where this is going. Maybe he is going to a parallel dimension where people actually seek common ground…we shall see.

In the multiverse of possibilities we’d been drifting off toward the fringes with all that talk of freedom, liberty & justice. Now we’re headed back toward the authoritarian mainstream.

I spend time thinking up parallel scenarios. Reading history including the rarely mentioned things can be very interesting in things. Some of them nearly happened. We are in a bad parallel right now. Ours isn’t the best of all possible worlds.

Just imagine if the Puritans were put down by the Pagans here in 1627? They had a more robust protection mechanism and joined the Indians, escaped black slaves & others becoming what the USA has claimed to be.

I was influenced by THE MAYPOLE OF MERRY MOUNT by Nathaniel Hawthorn. As a sort of antidote to the Libertarian fantasy of L. Neil Smith beginning with “The Probability Broach” I first started reading in 1981. The subtitle to my work is (“Where Merry Mount Wins and leads the way to a new, diverse and different nation of jollity over gloom") WE got the Puritanical gloom. I also use the history book, “THE MANY-HEADED HYDRA” by Peter Linebaugh & Marcus Rediker for more details of what might have been and why it wasn’t.`
