Ever heard about that internet naming convention, Objecty McObjectface? It’s similar enough to be obvious that this legend is trying to avoid being taken seriously.
Marigold has the attitude that annoys me when I see it in face book. People post on Marvel and Star Wars and Game of Thrones other such fan sites “Its just a movie. Who cares how it ends” and Im always like "Dude for the FANS they want to enjoy what they are invested in. YOU may not understand nerd obsession with what is JUST a movie but its the same thing if I came to your house and told you the final score of the football game and told you “Its just sport who cares who wins” Sports people , Nerds, in many ways the same. Obsessed, dressed in costumes, trying to get autographs, wanting there favorites to win. I don’t like it when people tell me spoilers and if I get mad they tell me to “Get a life” or if I have any reaction to an episode they tell me “Its just a show” Fans will enjoy there thing. Those who don’t like the fact that we do can please have a separate conversation in a separate forum.
Spoiler alert: I just noticed that Simpson’s been doing solid color or simple wash backgrounds with maybe some generic landscape for one or two panels. Great way to both concentrate the viewers’ focus on the dialog as well as reduce the work of drawing the strip.
