False! The VP at the very least will balance out the ticket like JFK with LBJ. Or, a prez might want someone that knows congress better like the Carter/Mondel ticket or Clinton/Gore. The Reagan/Bush ticket brought together charisma with governmental experience. The VP needs to bring something specific to the table. Not any doofus will do.

Name one REPUBLICAN VP nominee since, say, Spiro Agnew, who hasn’t been a schmuck. Er, make that name one REPUBLICAN Presidential candidate who hasn’t been a schmuck.

Seems any doofus can be president so long as Fox News endorses it.

The best part of reading Steve Kelley’s comic is clicking on the point of Hillary’s nose to open it.

I forget which US VP said it, but I do recall the characterization of the job as “Not worth a bucket of warm spit”(sic).

Joe Biden served as one of the best VP’s we’ve had since Johnson. He’ll make a strong president.

Sometimes the strategy is to have a VP that people don’t want, so there’s less of a chance of assassinating the President.

Kelley may have been “inspired” when he thought of Agnew, Quayle, and Pence….

Up until JFK/Johnson, the VP position was considered a successor position, as there was a good chance the President might die in office. Somewhere around there the decision making changed and the VP wasn’t as strong as before.

I normally think Kelley’s about as funny as a crutch, but this made me chuckle. Mind you, imo Biden’s too old, male and white to be a great candidate, but I’ll be voting for the anybody but him candidate no matter who the Dems choose.
