Hank has been using bumper stickers a lot to “burn” Biden since Joe got in the race. He’s writing for a niche comic market I guess – people who put bumper stickers on their cars. I get it. Mine says VOTE.

That’s right, Hank. Coal is the future. It’s not like the industry hasn’t been killing it’s own jobs for years by using mountain top removal. It’s also nice to see you championing the only industry that has, and continues, to callously poison their workers and the ground water they depend on.

What about lamp lighters, daguerreotypists, telegraphists, elevator operators? Don’t just save the coal miner, make sure you save all the antiquated jobs!

Remember Solyndra when Payne screamed bloody murder against the Obama government picking winners and losers in private energy industries?

Now Payne begs Trump to pick winners and losers in the private coal energy industry.

But it’s OK if a Republican does it.

Sure, how about a little Black Lung Disease? Coal mining jobs were fading anyway.

Henry, the entire coal industry employs fewer people than Arbys.

How many cars run on coal these days?

Republicans are destroying the earth with their coal fixation.

Coal?? Do you have a coal powered car? The coal industry has been dying for years now. Have you heard of electric, solar, and wind power? If you are worried about jobs, RETRAIN the coal minors.

Take a look at this video in which former coal miners are learning how to write computer programs:

Now, of course, that’s not the only thing that they they could (or should) do, but it’s a pretty good start. Who do you think would support this kind of initiative – Biden, or Trump?

Biden is no friend of working people. He recently attended aa fund raiser hosted by a union buster. he is only running to stop progressive democrats especially Bernie Sanders.

Coal. It is done. Anyone who thinks there is a need for coal in a future is a fool.

I live in coal country, and have family in coal. You want to help them? Don’t fight to keep coal. That’s a fool’s errand.

Fight to help us replace coal in our culture.

Conservatives: Stuck in the previous century (or actually, the 19th century) when coal still made sense and it was possible to believe that the earth would be able to accept whatever we did to it without consequences.

Progressives: Able to see (at least dimly) what’s actually happening, such as the fact that coal is exactly as economically feasible as steam-powered railroading… and that jobs mining and handling coal are already disappearing simply because other options are less expensive even without rebates, carbon taxes, etc.

… at least Payne got to draw a big ugly wide-bottom car. I’m sure he enjoyed that.

three million jobs estimated in the green energy sector. approximately 50,000 coal miners… but, yeah, by all means, let’s prop up a dying mining industry.

Coal jobs are impacted mostly by the increased availability (read cheaper) of natural gas.

Alabama added a tax to their utility bills so the people have to pay for the clean-up of coal ash. Coal mines and plants have closed because of industry forces, and now the people have to pay yet again to clean up their mess.

Coal is dying a natural death as other sources of energy come in, bringing jobs of their own. Almost all the coal jobs were taken by big machines already, like a shovel that takes as much in one scoop as a man can dig in a year.
