Now that the (redacted) Mueller report, with 448 pages plus notes, plus appendixes, is out, all filled with extensive documentation, we know that it is not just public opinion but objective FACT: there was extensive collusion, extensive obstruction, that could not be proved to rise to the level of criminal conspiracy, and — while there were numerous criminal convictions and referrals to other courts — could not be charged against the president only because of an internal memo — not a law, statute or Constitutional provision — written by the Nixon Dept. of “Justice” that opines that a sitting president cannot be indicted while in office.
Mueller did refer any possible criminal activity for action by the House under impeachment rules and to future administrations after Trump is no longer a sitting president.
But it is no longer a matter of public opinion.
That public opinion is rooted in well-documented massive amounts of fact-based evidence.
First, he looks at the sun during an eclipse; then he goes to the beach and turns he chair so he doesn’t look at the sea. The man has taken a mulligan on life.
I’ve said from the beginning that the constant drip drip of the late night comedians and political cartoons ridiculing Trump, and PUBLIC hearings exposing Trump minions as crooks (or even traitors) will eventually lead to Trump’s downfall. The Mueller Report is only the end of the beginning, after all. We have a Republican strategist with a book titled “Everything Trump Touches Dies” (which everybody should read). We have a former member of Trump’s own transition team (needless to say, a Republican and conservative), publicly tweeting and editorializing that impeachment proceedings must begin. (For him, the Mueller Report was the tipping point.) We have plenty of conservative pundits who loathe Trump’s dishonesty, idiocy, and (probable) insanity, and write publicly about it. The problem is getting elected Republican officials to feel the same. (We sure could use John McCain about now……..)
I sincerely hope the Blue Wave washes him out to sea, there to pay back some of what he owes. I sincerely doubt it’s possible to recover even 10% of it though: It’s always much easier to destroy than build… and his administration has been Hell bent on destruction since day one.

Lots of evidence, lots of those little things called “convictions” of the staff he ordered what to do.

Jeff – Is this a reference to the power of kings, and especially King Canute? Tiny take notice, royal power was shown to be limited centuries ago.

It’s ironic that every GOP I know thinks Trump was exonerated and was a victim of a witch hunt. Twisted thinking….
