Building a house twenty times larger than anything anybody actually needs to live in and dumping it onto the public for the tax break when you’re tired of it is clearly a favorite hobby of the ultra-elite. On the other hand, first-hand house-porn in 3D has a lot to be said for it. What the heck—paintings, statues and the cultural organizations that go with them need homes too, right? It’s certainly cheaper than building edifice complexes from scratch.
