Is it not beyond a little bit strange that Oliver North called out Wayne Lapierre for corruption and taking the NRA away from what it used to be and then North was pretty much deposed almost instantly? If that didn’t confirm how wacko the NRA now is, I can’t think of a better example. I mean, North is known for being blindly following his “my country at any cost” Reagan era philosophy and the board dumped him as if he were just any other hot potato whistle blower. I’m no fan of Ollie, nor the new-ish version of the NRA (the old school NRA proposed most of the early gun laws themselves btw). This seems a lot like just one very weird right wing vs ultra, ultra right wing scandal brewing.
