This cartoon does not apply to 60 companies in the Fortune 500 that paid NOTHING in federal taxes. This is triple the number of companies over last year.
Mr. Ariail, 54% of the discretionary budget goes to the military. That’s 9 times larger than the second largest portion of the discretionary budget. And, 65% of the budget goes to mandatory spending. 49% of the mandatory budget goes to social security, unemployment, and labor. Medicare and Health is #2 at 38%. These are the largest parts of our budget.
Are you saying that you don’t see where the money on the military, social security and unemployment, and medicare and health are going? The black hole you see are your closed eyes.
The IRS’s coffers don’t comprise a complete Black Hole. For example, the IRS has stumped up more than $100 million to pay for more than 170 golf outings for the Capo-in-Chief as of Tax Day 2019.
All this bellyaching about taxes is so childish. The US has the lowest taxes in the industrialized world, and in return has the crummiest social capital, the least affordable health care and the highest drug prices, the shabbiest infrastructure, and a declining life expectancy.

Civilization is paid for by our taxes – but any tax is too much for the selfish even though they enjoy the benefits of our society.

You will notice that the folks watching their tax money spiral away aren’t dressed like the 1%.

I thought that the Trump tax cuts were going to reduce taxes on everyone. Who do those two people represent?
