…up here in Canada, the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council has decided, based on one complaint (out of a population of 34 million people), that the 25 year old classic Dire Straits song “Money for Nothing” may no longer be played on the radio in its unedited version, because it contains a word that might be considered offensive to gays (ie, “fa**ot); thankfully, one of the radio stations here in Winnipeg will no longer play the song at all, out of respect to the music itself…sigh…I find it all depressing, and I don’t even like the song…
…and thank you to all the readers for making it through this storyline with a minimum of bloodshed. One-offs tomorrow and Sunday, then a new storyline Monday.
I’m on Jury Duty all next week, so I’ll be unresponsive this weekend as I stockpile strips and probably during the week as well.

Just finished my own Jury Duty, Pab. Just say,”If he didn’t do it, why is he on trial?” when they question you in the jury box (I SWEAR someone actually said it during questioning.) It’ll get you out in a flash.
The wife got a summons for jury duty about a month ago. Unfortunately, she passed away 4-1/2 years ago. So I notified the court . She got another jury summons in the mail this week….
