The first Batman tv show had the Riddler, and the Puzzler too though riddles can also be puzzles. In the Batman movie they received a cat themed riddle in the form of a joke delivered by a penguin.
I always hated Zsasz as a villain. It’s like the creator was trying to make someone more evil than the Joker but they just wound up with a personalityless serial killer who cuts himself.
Way back on a show called “Square Pegs” one of the characters told her friend that something was as obvious as Bruce Wayne being Batman. His immediate reaction was, “Really? Look, I need to go home and check my back issues.”
