I live on a small lake. One day I spotted a hawk sitting on top of a tall tree. The hawk fell, head first off the tree and at about 3 feet above the ground put out its wings and must have pulled 6 G’s in the pull-out. He leveled off inches above the grass and continued downhill to the lake.
He lowered his talons, snatched a snake out of the lake and was last seen flying off with his lunch.
