I don’t know if that’s true nowadays, but when I was 8-9 years old, I used to love browsing the museum we had in the nearest big town, around 50 km away. Of course, the trips were few and far between, despite ours being one of the few families who had a car. To me, museums have always been fascinating.

I don’t think Mick Jagger should be hanging out there, he could be mistaken for an exhibit.

The thing I like about museums or even antique shops is that it shows how far advanced we’ve become. Having a radio was a blessing to have. To own a television, wow, we had arrived. Our first telephone was a party line. And now I can use a phone with a Bluetooth while driving down the road at the same time it’s giving me directions. Incredible! That was the stuff of science-fiction in my young day. All the technology that we have available to us today makes me appreciate America even more yet this generation complaints and gripes and can never be satisfied that’s the sad state we’re in.

I almost lived in the local history museum as a kid. I think ALL museums are for kids.

Back in my Paleontology Lab, I used to refer to the fossils as Crispy Critters.
