@Number Three Today’s strip is mildly funny with three useless extra panels to make it a Sunday strip , our Hero Mr Andrew Capp , is being generous for a change , since Andy can’t have Chalkie to bum for his pints , because Mr White is skint , Andy will manage to cadge pints for both of them :o) right? my avatar is of a pistol made up of cigarettes stating that smoking kills , which reminds me that since it is Sunday , it was on such a day on the 25th of September 2017 that I have not smoked or wanted to a coffin nail , how was your day? ours should be calm but busy, nothing new planned , take care and win at Bingo pal
I know it’s a common theme for this comic, but with his personality and they way he is usually fighting with the other customers, it’s hard to believe he can still find people to buy him drinks.
Not a mistake, but the unnecessary breaking of the 4th wall in panel five is annoying. There are reasons, and often good reasons, for breaking the 4th wall—I do it some in my own writing. Yet the current “creative” Andy team frequently gives the impression that they are slapping themselves on their collective back for the high hilarity they so freely give us. (Panel six, with Chalkie also breaking the 4th wall and looking at the reader, is much better.)
