The next phase of “higher education” for the parents and, sadly, the children who think that their elite status and ginormous wealth ENTITLES them to push everyone else out of the way and cheat their way into the best schools needs to include:
a) lessons on the criminal justice system from the inside of jail cells
b) lessons on accountability — cancelling admission invitations from those who cheated to get them, expulsions of students currently attending based on cheating during their admissions process and revocation of any and all degrees and awards for those whose attendance was predicated on having gotten in by cheating.
Irony: Felicity Huffman has taken down her website on … parenting advice.
I am impressed by the news outlets finding scenes from Desperate Housewives with Felicity Huffman talking about bribes and similar scenes from Hallmark with Lori Loughlin. How do they find those?
I wonder how long this type of behavior HAS been going on, since I have met SO MANY PEOPLE over the last 50 years or so that are educated FAR beyond their intelligence! A.K.A. Book smart, but dumber then a rock!
In case anyone’s interested, this is just a continuation of the “Greed is Good” manifesto first demonstrated by the character “Gordon Gekko” in the movie, “Wall Street”. Unfortunately, a certain segment of the population actually believed that the movie was a template to ‘success’!
These people are known as “moral midgets” or “intellectual” idiots. They have a creed of “greed is good” , “It’s only bad if I get caught!” and the ever-popular, “I’m not guilty if I don’t admit guilt!” They are known, generically, by the name “Republican”.
At one time criminals of this type were at least proud of being able to escape detection by being as smart as the police – nowadays they think they can evade capture by being as smart as their criminal “template”, Donald John Trump. This means that the “crimes” can be discerned by anyone with a third-grade education or above – not a high bar by any stretch!
They have a creed of “greed is good” Which goes back to Ayn Rand’s inversion of the 7 Deadly Sins into the 7 Superlative Attributes for her “super-men”.
To Randroids and Libertarians it is what they see as theirs to do. That there is nothing wrong with it and shouldn’t be illegal. The one that is the most cunning and ruthless wins for a reason. A good reason in their estimation. Just another example of the kind of world they want here. And it would be a bleak place.

And their men are at the Asian Massage getting a little relief.
Did you see that China gave the evil Trump family patents on massage parlors?

Jail the parents, expel the kids, give the money to scholarship funds for the hard working bookworms.

And of course fire and jail the coaches and others who took the bribes.

Hey, they’re not known as “exclusive” colleges for nothing.
The current uproar is simply about who they exclude.
