Maybe I’m still too much a techie, but the world we perceive makes a lot of sense to me. It requires a personal god to fill in the odd ways the supposedly impersonal world interacts with our own lives, but with that piece in place the world at large makes sense. Theoretical sciences (there’s an oxymoron for you) do not. Chemistry is the best behaved science; theoretical physics is the worst. Like evolutionary theory or existential philosophy, it makes more sense in concept than in analysis. We see something there, but what is it?
