Happy Funday, everyone! As I type this, Yum Yum is meatloafing behind me, grumbling moodily at the outside, which is still snow-covered. She’s also waiting impatiently for Spring, and for it to be warm enough for me to leave the door open so she can wander in and out.

Oliver, you are sooo cute. :)

UFO – That’s me, telling my sister how hard I’m working to clean the house. Book vs Clean: book wins every time.

Listen closely Oliver,and you’ll hear them sing…the unmistakable song,from the birds of Spring! ….oh oh…unless Chesney …..ewwwww!

Our daffodils are coming up and the plum tree’s blossoms are starting to show. But this winter has been a dream for me here in the Owens Valley at the base of the Eastern Sierra, with several rare rainy days and a few more to come this week. Spring will be short lived , with heat waves starting in May, then I have 5 months of crankiness to deal with.

Big risk Oliver, asking Chesney to move!

It’s 5 below here and a foot of snow still on the ground. Strong north wind too. After tai chi class I get to go to the dentist. The worse the weather, the more likely I have to go out in it, lol.

What a handsome boy.

Oliver is just the cutest!! If it were true that Chesney was sitting on Spring, I’d kick him out of that corner so fast. I don’t think we are going to have a Spring and maybe not even a summer. We might just be having year-round winter – I can’t see the end.

The sooner Spring comes, the better. While it has warmed up where I Live (up to 40 degrees), there’s still some snow on the ground and it doesn’t look like it will go away any time soon. Fortunately, a neighbor plowed the road, so at least I’m not trapped and can get out and go places if I need to.

14 tonight in west Tennessee with wind chills near 0 in the morning. I hope the mule starts in the morning so I can get to the barn to feed the donkeys and the new barn cat who has adopted me and the donkeys.
