TrumpubliCONs need to be careful what they wish for.

If Trump can get away with declaring an emergency for a FAKE crisis (hello, if your concern [illegal border crossings] has been diminishing for the last TEN YEARS STRAIGHT [and you don’t want to recognize that Obama achieved that] and is currently at a 46-year-low; and if you can do nothing for two years when your party has complete control, and then five more weeks of a shutdown, and then three more weeks after that, and the solution [a wall] will take years to build, IT IS NOT AN EMERGENCY), then just wait until the next Democratic president is sworn in on January 20, 2021.

Now you have given permission for a Democratic president to declare emergencies that are REAL: climate crisis, epidemic of gun violence, people dying for lack of health care, people dying because they can’t afford prescribed medicines.

    Sigh. Long sigh.

Rich people never think about climate change because they can just move away to another area and leave the rest of us to drown.

King Canute went to the seashore to order the waves from the incoming tide to stop.

Republicans are trying to stop the rising left political tide.

Actually King Canute went to the shore to prove to his minions that he didn’t have unlimited power. Funny old world, i’n’it.

Trump’s use of “executive power” is like his sleeping, tweeting, watching TV, and golfing during “executive time”. That is, it is weak, chaotic, and incomprehensible and thus ineffective.

How many Republicans believe that man-made global warming is real, but think that people like Trump will take them into their luxury survival shelters?

As long as he’s in the White House, it will, by definition, always be an “emergency”…

    Come senators, congressmen

    Please heed the call

    Don’t stand in the doorway

    Don’t block up the hall

    For he that gets hurt

Will be he who has stalled

    There’s a battle outside

    And it is ragin’.

    It’ll soon shake your windows

    And rattle your walls

For the times they are a-changin’.

Fox News HAD the story of Trump’s hush money payoffs to Stormy Daniels BEFORE the election but killed it because the reporter said she was told, “Good reporting Kiddo, but Rupert Murdoch wants Donald Trump to win. So set it aside.” Reporter sued, is bound by an NDA.

Truly amazing. China is building the largest factories in the world to produce electric batteries and vehicles. The U.S. reacts to climate change by keeping its head in the sand. There are economic rewards a nation can reap by switching to renewable energy. There are jobs which can be created. Workers displaced from older energy technologies which are being replaced can be retrained to hold those jobs.
