Agnes’ singing didn’t eliminate the third prize; rather it eliminated Agnes.
When she found that she was unable to sing well, unfortunately Agnes turned to playing the guitar.
They gave third prize to the yowling cat out back…
She should have entered the contest in North West Brown County. I understand the competition there isn’t as tough.
Maybe she could have done her grandmother’s pole dance instead of singing.
The class after mine had eight people in the top ten. There were way more than ten students but they refused to honor anyone with less than a B average.
These folks couldn’t bring themselves to give Agnes any sort of prize. Just not kosher.
