But when’s the last time TV news felt compelled to cover stories like “Life expectancy now twice what it was for your parents” or “77 million kids went to school safely today and got a good education”? Their motto is “If it bleeds, it leads”, contributing to the widespread apprehension that everything’s awful and just getting worse. It’s a snare and a delusion, folx; don’t believe it!
