If I heard what she said right, she was criticizing the U.S. support of Israel no matter what it does, not being antisemitic. I question a lot of what Israel does and wonder if we would support France, England or Germany the same way if they promoted settlements in disputed territories.
You DO realize, of course, that the entire concept of “Fair Play” is SO FOREIGN to the ENTIRE Republican Party that they cannot even conceive of it whatsoever! Their ruling Mantra is “Do as we SAY, NOT as we DO!”
The Israeli State is basically a “secular” state in that you don’t have to be “Jewish” to be a citizen.
I make that assumption on the basis of an announcement made by Bee Bee (brain), the Trumpian equivalent heading the Israeli government, warning his followers that they’d better get to the polls because “arabs” were being ‘bused’ in to vote by the busload (his panicked plea DID manage to get him re-elected, by the way.).
Genuine, meaningful change will have arrived on Capitol Hill the day its members decide to hold one another accountable for their actions instead of their words.
Apologies are a dime-a-dozen these days; let me examine someone’s conduct — their votes on the floor, what bills they sponsored, from whom they accept campaign donations, what they did for a living before they made politics their living — and then I can adequately judge their character and worthiness of my support.
I’ve often wondered how a people with the history of the Israelis can be so brutally repressive toward the Palestinians. Perhaps it’s because they know their pit bull (the US) will come running when they whistle. Also, it’s beyond stupid to imply that George Soros is anti-Semitic. Maybe Republicans hate him because he has given away about 80% of his fortune.
The GOP is effectively anti-semite, so of course they have to point and yell if someone else tries to steal their thunder. The GOP is also effectively unable to handle such a subtle nuance as “being opposed to Israeli policies is not the same as hating Jews.”
Likud and Netanyahu make apartheid seem beneficent. It isn’t anti-Semite (Jews and Arabs BOTH being Semites btw) it’s trying to put sanctions and controls on the contemptible actions of Netanyahu and supporters. And of course Bonespurs et al haven’t ever said anything anti-Muslim, or anti-Palestinian (many of whom are CHRISTIANS).
She rightfully apologized for her statements being misinterpreted and taken out of context (the elephants constant tactic, like Plush Bimbaugh or Hot Lips Hannity), pointing out it is the Israeli governments actions, like guns and rockets against rocks, that is the problem. J Street and other Jewish organizations support putting down Nutty Netanyahu, and actually defending democracy, NOT MORE WALLS and persecution. Oh, wait, sensible people knowing walls are a BAD thing! Bonespurs to the rescue.
BTW: Israel, the only nuclear armed nation in the Middle East, with submarine, land based, and airborne delivery systems, missiles and manned aircraft, and at least a couple hundred nukes on hand, is about as “defenseless” as a pit viper against a mouse.

Is Soros bankrolling yet ANOTHER migrant caravan, and how many hundreds (or thousands) of miles away from the border is IT?
