Okay, fine. But now what are we all going to do about it? Anybody have any good ideas on how to make sure that all Democratic candidates are absolutely pure from Day One? The Republicans don’t have to worry about that, since their voters have no apparent problem with racist and misogynist attitudes. Maybe we should ask not whether someone has ever done a stupid thing but rather whether that person has since shown a different attitude, has in fact learned from it. At least, it would be helpful not to hand the alt-Right this weapon as a freebie, as these scandals have all the fingerprints of a Big League Politics hit job.
