Got delayed in Charleston, when the second engine wouldn’t start. After to run ups to try and jump start it, we went back to the gate.
The mech that came to fix it showed up with a step ladder, vice grips® and a roll of duct tape.
We got a different plane.
If only Red Green was on this flight!
And a volunteer to crawl out on the wing and…
TSA would not let me bring my duck tape aboard, they think it’s a deadly weapon.
cue the ominous music
Coincidentally, I had just checked TSA website to see what’s allowed. Duct Tape is allowed in carry-on luggage.
This is going on my list of things one doesn’t want to hear… along with “Oops” from your neurosurgeon etc.
It could be worse if the announcement was, “Did anybody think to bring a parachute?”
As we said during Superheros Week at a Camp where I volunteer every summer …
“Sounds like a job for … Duct Tape Man!”
The TSA unrolled my entire roll of duct tape.
