I find it remarkably hypocritical of the Republicans to call Northam out for racist behavior considering who’s in the White House and the Senate Majority Leader.
Should political dirty tricks be allowed in a constitutional democratic republic that was at one time able to get people of opposing views to cooperate and compromise to create something better than they could have alone? If the questionable policies of a party are so outrageous that that must manipulate the voters and defame their opponents, decent people — especially members of that party — must not allow it to continue. I am very tired of people defaming the US government — a government of the people, by the people, and for the people — and trying to destroy it from inside and establishing an authoritarian theocratic dictatorship in its place.
Seriously, dress up? Costumes Parties? Who cares? There are serious issues that really need addressing. Seems like the media are always crying ‘squirrel’ and finding plenty of looky-loos to go along with them so that any real progress or serious dialog is never achieved.
