One of our locals news stations got flowers from a florist ($50), ordered some from online ($60) and bought an arrangement at the local grocery ($19). Then then took the arrangements to a floral expert (not sure where form) and did not tell him which was which. The floral got a 7 and the online got a 1 (dead flowers and bad arranging) and the grocery store one also got a 7. Seems the floral shop and the online were just overpriced. My hubby gives me a list of what he will do for me instead of flowers. Love that man!!! I bake him his favorite cake.
A dozen long stem red (or any other color) roses, no doubt grown in Mexico where they love roses even more than we do, $13.49 at the local branch of my regional grocery chain. And they last for weeks in water. Plus, you can actually smell them. You can, of course, get them mixed with a few weeds in a cheap Chinese glass vase for $70.
