Apathy is ignorance of one’s debt to their other countrymen.

Apathy lets those involved in governance know that they have carte blanche. Saying ‘nothing changes so I don’t vote’ ensures that nothing ever can or will change. Engagement, scrutiny, and standing up stubbornly for your rights as a voter and citizen are the ONLY approach to forcing those in government to respect their populace and the rule of law and that’s the only way to force those in power to limit their corruption and malfeasance.

He is, after all, a cat.

Apathy is often the result of recognition of one’s place in a nation, acknowledgment that their choices, actions, and voice in government are actively suppressed, and justified fear of actually doing something really loud or violent.

Sadly, the attitude of too many.

The fact that he has registered his cat and his dog to vote explains a lot.

Here in Spain I can vote for the local “entrepreneur”, i.e mayor and the EuroMP (euphemism for gravy train passenger) but not the national government who can decide my future.

In my world, elephants and jackasses can vote and weasels can practice law & hold office

Apathy too often appears, also the people who vote for one persons party and not looking into the persons qualifications is a kind of apathy, Bucky!
