Paul Simon’s song about “One man’s ceiling is another man’s floor” now makes me think that in the case of trump: one man’s dream may be another man’s nightmare… I know that I wake up with the sweats when I think of where trump has now taken us!
Speaking of the Berlin Wall, does anyone see the parallel of Russia pulling the strings of it’s puppet government (East Germany) to build the wall and what is going on now??? Keeping people out versus keeping people in has the same result, the destabilization of a region. Don’t see it, don’t want to believe it, then just wait and see.

I would’ve thought Trump’s favorite quote was the one about defaulting on a promissory note, seeing as how that’s something he likes to do himself, but at the same time offers him a chance to do another thing he’d love: stickin’ it to Black folk.
My own personal favorite is when Dr. King spoke the fondest wish of every probate attorney when he declared, “I just want to do God’s will.”
I think many here are missing the point here. That is by design. It’s fun to make up names for Pres. Trump, but that is his job, to catch all the flack while the Republican party does what it has wanted to do since Reagan.
Mr. Carroll said it himself – Pence helped him write today’s comic. But one wonders why it isn’t Pence up there saying it. Without Pence, McConnell, Ryan, and all the other enablers, Trump couldn’t burn down Washington while they fiddle. THis is the ultimate conservative dream, starve the beast, make America white again and make sure poor people know their place.
Trump is a political pinata. While we’re busy wacking away at him, they’re busy changing the locks on our door.
I tried reading that transcript of Pence on Face the Nation. What a farce.
Does Pence actually believe the drivel he and trump are spewing? How can anyone think a three year deal (not amnesty or citizenship, but some kind of …what?) for Dreamers is any kind of a compromise?
But the part I find really telling is “Amnesty will- will be used on a much bigger deal whether on immigration or something else.” So he planning on holding DACA hostage for some other thing he really, really wants. What? “Make me President for Life and I’ll give citizenship to the dreamers” would be my guess.
