This comic was in 1955. I realized Santa didn’t exist in 1967, similarly to Lucy’s discovery.

Imagine Linus’s reaction had they been discussing the Great Pumpkin.

Yesterday’s strip was from Saturday (12/24/55). Today’s is from Monday (12/26/55). This makes an entire year (1955) of skipped Sunday strips. The last Sunday strip shown by GC on “Peanuts Begins” was from December 26, 1954. It ran on December 23, 2022.

The skipped Sunday strip can be found on the regular “Peanuts” site. It’s a good one:

When I post these reminders about missing Sunday strips, there have been several comments about color. On the regular “Peanuts” site, the Sunday strips (originally published in color) are in B&W until July 21, 1996. The daily strips (originally published in B&W) remain so up to January 3, 2000. That strip is the farewell note from Schulz. After that, they are colorized.

Then where’s all those presents come from, Lucy? Who did you see put them under the tree?

I wondered why the boxes the toys came in were folded up in the cellar after Christmas.

Maybe this shock is when he started to believe in the Great Pumpkin instead ….
