Are there any people in real life that have Schroeder as a first name?

I used to do that with one of my Dad’s stereo speakers, and I had a similar reaction.

Grab the tissue box; Moonlight Sonata is on the playlist.

The quartet’s peroration in the 4th movement does that to me. Of the different recordings released over the years, I’ve also thought that the 1961 Fritz Reiner/CSO version of the 9th is the best interpretation.

The 9th is my favorite Beethoven symphony.

Oh I love the Ninth as you do Schroeder, and the finale always makes me cry. Next May 7th will mark the 200th anniversary of the premiere performance of this great work. Thank you Ludwig, and thank you Sparky for loving Beethoven too.

Dvorak’s Ninth has the same effect on me.

We had a big “console” type stereo like that when I was little, too. Electronics were really pieces of furniture back then.
