Well, the whole “Peanuts” comic strip lasted 50 years until Charles Schulz’s retirement (and his death the day after the last published strip), but “Peanuts” will live on forever in the readers’ hearts.

These early strips have been around since around 1954 and that’s more than 60 years. You’ve had a good life Charlie Brown and though you’re well past 60 you don’t look a day over 5!

We know a bit of your future, CB, and it’s certainly disturbing…

Considering his age in this strip, that suggests he would fall shy of his 70s, which is indeed depressing…

When I was younger, I never had a male relative live to see 70. When my dad turned 70, I cried, because I felt like I was going to lose him “any day now”. He is the oldest sibling in his family and has been predeceased by 3 of his 4 younger brothers. This coming September he will be celebrating his 90th birthday!

I can see why. Someone’s stolen the zigzag from his shirt!

I Don’t think Charlie Brown realizes he has many friends. I Do think his buddy Charles did … and does.

Life expectancy sure was lower back in the early 50s! Today’s Charlie Brown, aged 8 say, could look forward to another 70+ years of life.
