Agreed. Medical care ONLY for those who can afford it; all the rest can go hang. It’s the American Way.

Again, Ramirez is playing “slo-pitch” in a “fast-ball” league!

I had chest pains. Went to the local ER. Had scans, blood tests, x-rays and saw 2 specialists. Was in hospital overnight for observation. Was given prescription for medication and released the next morning. Cost? Zero. In Australia we have access to the best medical care anyone could hope for. We all pay a Medicare levy as part of our tax. Happily. No-one ever gets bankrupted for being sick or injured in Australia. We are democratic country following economic principles based on capitalism. Not socialist or any other such nonsense. We simply see health as a fundamental right.

At the end of a lifetime, everyone is a patient and most will only have a small pension if they are lucky.

Studies show that Medicare for all is not a viable economic alternative:

“Kenneth Thorpe, a health policy professor at Emory University in Atlanta, authored one of the earlier studies and says the Mercatus analysis reinforces them.”

“It’s showing that if you are going to go in this direction, it’s going to cost the federal government $2.5 trillion to $3 trillion a year in terms of spending,” said Thorpe. “Even though people don’t pay premiums, the tax increases are going to be enormous. There are going to be a lot of people who’ll pay more in taxes than they save on premiums.” Thorpe was a senior health policy adviser in the Clinton administration."

“Costs have been a stumbling block for state efforts to enact a single-payer system, including in Sanders own state of Vermont.”

That’s not the reality in the rest of the civilized world where EVERY OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRY has socialized medicine.

That BS only exists in the fantasy world of Republican propaganda.

But Ramirez is a good little stooge, trying to make sure those who can’t see through the smokescreen don’t decide to look behind the curtain.

“It’s the people who have less than you who are the real threat, not those with all the power and money!”

    Right, Mikey?
