Barb is the one who should be anxious. Giving executives computers (or, in the beginning, word processors like the Wang) meant that the secretarial pool was soon going to get a lot smaller.
There were a select few that did not have one even in the 90’s. I was in IT and the howling of those people when they got their PC’s still echos in my ears.
I remember when we weren’t even around in offices at all….heck I remember only manual typewriters, then electric, selectric and many years before computers in offices
